Why the fuck did Saddam get hung? It's so barbaric. Why were his sons corpses splattered across television screens and newspapers all over the world by the Bush Administration?

I am sickened by the unimaginable lows that the Bush administration and the ever more regressive Rethuglicans have sunken to during the past six years.

There is no question that Saddam Hussein was a bad man. "Evil" is a bullshit fundamentalist concept that the Bush administration would like to sell--so that Saddam would be their bitch, their Emanuel Goldstein. As much as they tried, their mantle was not adopted by everyone including me because Bush is as bad or worse. Saddam just killed, Bush lies and plots and schemes and dupes and plays dumb and hides behind religion and steals and kills. Now that's evil if ever there was evil.

It sickens me that some puppet government appointed by a puppet administration is creating filth like this hanging for the world to see. Don't the fucking Iraqi puppets know that Saddam was once a puppet too and that they could easily follow in his footsteps?

I am sickened by the barbarism.

And you put it so well. All week I've been saying to myself that we didn't just repeal and or violate basic laws that brought us back to pre-world war two days. We're back to the Dark Ages. Literally. Usury, dungeons, dictators. Good times. NOT.

As long as I read posts like this, and many of the others here, I know there is hope.

I had distanced myself from a lot of what has been going on politically because it's too depressing. I don't watch the "news" anymore. I haven't posted on DU in a while. I learned about the hanging from my mother by phone last night and it infuriated me. I have distanced myself, changed my actual viewing habits and lifestyle because of these bastards and still the bullshit seeps through. It sickens me.

in retrospect, a LOT of the "military actions' we have taken were based on "iffy" provocation..
