We must stop the insanity.
Saddam's expedited execution should raise some red flags to everyone. Why did it have to be so fast?!! There was a piece on www.juancole.com that has me very afraid of world events, esp. with two senior Iranian captives recently freed by the Iraqi's back into Iran. Things will get even worse over there in a protest, and of course a lot will soon be blamed on Iran. When that happens-Voila- Bush will declare war on Iran with a BS excuse about sanctions not working, blah,blah,blah...Couple this with the growing US navy presence in The Gulf which will fully arrive in place next week! All of this is choreographed my friends, and once again, it seems to just be happening and we must do something, but what can we do? I think it will all soon be way, way out of hand! Of course, you say, how can we possibly go to war with Iran? Well, how was it possible that we even went to Iraq? Because THEY wanted to! THEY are insane! We need to lock up these crazies as quick as we can! God help us all!

1. Dead men tell no tales
Saddam probably had some pretty good stories about Dick, Rummy and Jrs Daddie.

2. What would you suggest we do?
It would be dandy to lock up our crazies before they strike again, but that's not going to happen. Seriously, how do we as engaged Americans react when Bush strikes out against another oil-rich nation? Do we stand by helplessly, wring our hands, sign some online petitions and complain to each other? Will some here jump on the bandwagon that Iran is an axis of evil and lecture us for not being sufficiently bloodthirsty in re their leaders?

I really don't know. I get the feeling that before January is out events will spin entirely out of control and our madman is going to start a war that will destroy our country from within. And there's really not a damn thing we can do about it.

3. Please see my post "Bush = Death" for a discussion of positive imaging.
We need to crowd out this Hangman image with our own life-giving and loving imagery. Truly. These Dark Lords are playing mind-games. And there are ways to resist. THEY want a year of more Death and Darkness. What do YOU want? What have YOU seen, what do YOU know, of human goodness and hope, and of the rebirth of American democracy? Form it in your mind. Hold that image fast. Push back!
