This will be the easiest acquittal ever won in the history of American jurisprudence. I'm now in the camp with the folks who believe Nifong used the "victim" to get re-elected, and now he's stuck "prosecuting" a case he knows in unwinnable.

I don't know what the "victim"'s motivation is for making up her story, but I'd guess that drugs, alcohol, and money play a big part.

Apparently, the rest of NC's District Attorney's think the same thing --> http://abcnews.go.com/US/LegalCenter/story?id=2760232

1. The accuser was prodded into making up her story.

A nurse at an alcohol intake center -- where the police took her because she was drunk -- violated normal protocol by asking her if she had been raped. She said yes. This got her sprung from the alcohol center and into a hospital. Since she was on probation for a felony offense involving alcohol, this probably seemed like a good idea at the time. Then when Nifong got hold of the case, he ran with it.

2. But where will those boys go to get their reputations back? One the reasons given for the girl
saying that she was raped was because she was angry that the boys made it known that they were not happy because she was black.

3. That's what they said about tho OJ case.
As shoddy as this case may be, I still wouldn't want to looking at 40 years for sexual assault - judged by 12 people not smart enough to get out of jury duty.
