I'm not one for losing it in public, but...
At work today a guest said "at least we have vengeance for who committed 9/11". I lost it & almost lost my job in the process. Sheesh.

1. Glad you didn't lose your job. But you should have punched that
IDIOT in the nose.

2. You can only tolerate downright ignorance for so long.
And you're bound to snap.

Glad you didn't lose your job.

5. The only reason I didn't lose my job
I think the owners are closted Liberals (if you can believe that). The General mManager fired me on the spot and one of the owners said no!.

4. Glad you didn't lose your job.
Ignorance is bliss -- at least for the ones who are ignorant. The rest of us pay the price.

6. You're lucky someone stood up for you
Just after the war started, I calmly objected to all the "kill'em all" cheerleading at my workplace. Soon after that, I was told they didn't have a spot for me any longer.

10. eventually
Unfortunately, I dropped a couple mil in stock options when I went to work for that company. Of course, I didn't know they'd be worth that much when I quit.

9. I've had to bite my tongue, just because...
I knew I was not going to change the other person's mind. "They" have little talking points/mantras for anything the normal, intelligent person says.

It's tough to walk away, but it's best, sometimes. :hi:

13. Don't be too hard on yourself. Willfully ignorant twits need to be dealt with.
They have gone on without facing any sort of accountability for their insistence on getting it wrong quite long enough. People tend not to change unless their behavior creates uncomfortable conditions for them personally. Time for their ignorant asses to be taken to task.

Glad the big boss stood up for your right to have limits on the bullshit you will tolerate.

A DU :patriot: to the boss who backed free speech!

12. I'm so glad you didn't lose your job!!
I find it so scary that anyone can think that any more. Positively frightening! From under what rock did they crawl?

14. Good for you!!!!
I can so relate to you. I lose it all the time, only it hasn't been a job that's been in jeopardy but rather friendships. I simply can no longer tolerate those who don't get it or refuse to get it or are otherwise clueless about what really goes on in politics. It's a dirty game almost anywhere you live. It's just that Junior has taken the dirtiness to a level that few could have ever believed possible in the USA or anywhere else in the "free" world. But you would think that by NOW even the slowest among us would have gotten the picture. To believe that Saddam was responsible for 911 is as you so well assessed, just beyond the pale. Like all the others here I too am glad you didn't lose your job. What a price you might have had to pay just by uttering the truth, albeit to a guest with undoubtedly far more money than brains!!

15. "at least we have vengeance for who committed 9/11"
I think smoke would have come out of my ears, and then my head exploded if I heard that.

I cannot believe how fucking STOOOPID these people are!

You have to wonder if anyone would support shithead if they knew the truth that Saddam wasn't involved in 9/11.

16. I no longer speak or e-mail old friends because of similar events. I was told
by one of them way back that I was not a "patriot" if I didn't support GWB and the war. I then proceeded to call/write him that he was an arrogant SOB of the first order, quoting talking points and to never question my patriotism. I also inquired as to who the hell he thought he was to invoke his ideaology on me. I was ticked. Most of my family are Repugs and the funny thing, I hardly hear from them anymore, since the election actually. Half of them stopped e-mailing me when I stated GWB was certainly not my Prez, I felt nothing towards him. I was told it was "the office" I should respect. Sorry, cannot do.
