19. icasualties doesn't update their site on a round the clock basis..
It's incredible how much they add once they've done the updates early each morning.

The site is run by a small handful of people who depend on donations to keep it going. I sent in a donation last year, and got the nicest e-mail from one of the people there!

Still.. I hope when we check tomorrow, there will be NO MORE FATALITIES too!

Anything official with criminals in charge is best taken with some salt.

7. If there are/were casualties I think the DOD would sit on them.
Pretty typical Bushista thing to do. 24 hours, 48 hours, late Sunday night "news drop".

Or maybe no soldiers have been hurt today. God, that would be good news.

Also, I doubt we've sent many/any patrols outside the Green Zone. Don't want to go tempting fate.

9. Question; Has there been any Special Forces people
listed as killed in Iraq? An x-Special Forces guy told me the other day that when they get killed in action it is not public knowledge. He said there were many killed in Iraq before the actual invasion.

11. Sometimes they keep their deaths secret, but
I recall reading about SEAL, A Team guys and other specwar types getting killed. Of course they may not have died when and where the DOD says, but...

no, that old "secret even in death" thing seems to be gone.

20. Not one fatality was reported today.
Sometimes it takes days for them to get around to reporting them all. It's not at all unusual for none of a day's fatalities to be reported until the following day.

Not that I'm hoping soldiers died today. But they may be holding off on the reporting till the Saddam execution brouhaha dies down a little.
