Poor Edwards, was aiming at a low news week
and ended up competing with the death of Ford and Saddam (not to compare them, but both took a lot of news time).

And Blitzer missed all this, too.

4. Oops, forgot about Brown
the other day MSNBC spent a lot of time on his funeral in Harlem, and interviewed Al Sharpton and others.

6. Yes, bad luck
No ones fault, but just bad luck

I like him and hope he does well this year...I know if he ever got the nomination he'd cinch the presdiency in no time.

Remember that optimism that Bill Clinton had in 92, that was always cited by people as one of the reasons they voted for him? Edwards has that.

7. makes you wonder if someone is trying to tell him something
or a sign. I do not support Edwards but, it's a rough start for him and that is too bad.
maybe things will get better but, with the computer messing up and announcing early and then all that has happened on what is usually a slow news week. It just kinda makes you wonder

17. One good sign, though
All the comments were about how he just used New Orleans as a background: no family and supporters in the background, no flags.

Can you imagine if he were to use the usual background and, what, have the flags at half staff?

9. That's what happens when you send out trial balloons about an "possible"
announcement. By the time you catually make the announcement, people have lost interest, and other things may have come along to take away the thunder.

Everyone knew he was going to run.. We have known it since Nov '04. he should have just said. "see ya in 4 years "

16. Considering the heavy news, he's done
very well- quite a bit of coverage, large crowds and heavy internet buzz.
