2006's most bizare image; George W "AWOL" bush

President George W. Bush admires a bust of himself presented in his honor Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at
the National Guard Memorial Building in Washington, where President Bush talked about the global war
on terror. White House photo by Paul Morse.

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=&imgrefurl=http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/02/images/20060209-2_p020906pm-0089-515h.html&h=379&w=514&sz=82&hl=en&start=11&tbnid=r493Kfould20VM:&tbnh=97&tbnw=131&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgeorge%2Bw%2Bbush%2Bbust%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den-us%26sa%3DN

bush was inducted into some sort of National Guard "Hall of Fame ..... and our "liberal media" did not
say one thing about how inappropriate it was and is to have a man who failed to fulfill his military contract
by going AWOL and then years later having thousands of National Guard's Men killed or wounded in an unneeded
war to receive such an honor.

2. What's the statue wearing, a Peter Pan costume?
...and how chilling is it that they left the date for the end
of W's reign blank?

6. Stephanie Miller mentioned this
to John Kerry in an interview. His reaction is pretty good.

I think this link works. The part about the statue is about four minutes in.

7. Thanks for the flashback.
Sen. Kerry apparently hadn't heard about the statue, and his reaction to Stephanie telling him about it is priceless. (Too bad the man doesn't have a sense of humor. )

9. It's one of my favorite interviews
The entire interview is worth a listen. He explains a lot, about the IWR vote, about Ohio.
Steph is a really great interviewer. She knows how to mix serious discussion with a bit of fun.

8. If I've said this once, I've said it.....
...a million times: show us your flight records, Little Monkey. Not your training records, not your medical, your flight records.....

Mysteriously absent they are.

10. Another free pass from the media.
Thou dare not question the president's military service. Dan Rather learned the hard way.
