There comes a time during the descent into the heart of darkness that the colonial misadventure returns home to impose the abuse of human rights and dignity upon its sources.

Colonialism begets totalitarianism. Referring to what we are doing in Iraq as progress is the complete lie. The current administration, America and its mortally wounded constitutional traditions and institutions, have disregarded the basic lessons of the twentieth century. This time there won't be a happy ending. Like the rebellious child who won't listen to the headmaster we as a people are going to be taken to the woodshed.

Why is it that every time I hear a description of Saddam, it fits the current "leaders" of our nation like a glove.
