it seems that we pay enough taxes to more than take care of all the Citizens in this country
if we would only do it. When I say we I mean us for not paying more attention to the candidates that we elect. If only we would have payed more attention we would have seen that most or a large part of our congresscritters on both sides of the isle don't give a flying f'k for us average joes. I today will start paying more attention to everything each of the candidates do and say. This always just hoping for the best has to stop, a lot can be said for the old saying, everything good is worth fighting for or something like that. methinks

1. We do.
But half of our tax dollars go to fund the military. For the rest of the world it averages 20%.

2. I just wished we would start hearing some of our critters talking about it
and to not cow down when they are called nuts or whatever. Most of us Americans love our fellow man and want to see us all work for the common good. I have no problem with a person getting rich but the common good should be first on the table.

3. YOU do. the ultra-rich don't.
also, we redirect way too much hard-earned income toward corporate subsidies and no-bid contract giveaways.

5. The critters now have their work cut out for them but
are they up to it or are they mostly up to covering their asses and sugar coating everything and in the end it's just another day

6. They're already busy concocting some BS with the Insurance Lobby.
It is not going to be a Single Payer Health Care Plan and it won't take care of the problems we have.

7. I thought I had something to be happy about
after the VN debacle I was able to live in somewhat bliss, thinking I knew we wouldn't do that again, that I would be able to one day retire and kick back and enjoy what I had been enjoying, how so wrong I was. raygun blew into town and its gone downhill from there

8. The Military and Payments on the Debt
make it fiscal sanity impossible without taxes being sky-high. There is so much that could be done with that money.
