Vote-Match Quiz & Maps: Objective Comparison of Candidates
Edited on Sun Dec-31-06 02:43 PM by IndyOp
I thought I knew who I liked, and apparently, I did!

Keeping in mind that no quiz is perfect and I have no special knowledge of the validity of this quiz...

Using the 20-question VoteMatch Quiz about individual rights, domestic issues, economic issues, and defensive international issues I matched with, in order: Nader (83%), Sharpton (75%), Kucinich (73%), Cobb (65%), Kerry (63%), Edwards (58%), Dean (55%), and Clark (53%). (Note: I wouldn't vote for Ralph Nader under any circumstances and Al Gore wasn't in the comparison list.)

While I was there I checked out the "Political Maps" for the 2008 hopefuls and find that the maps pretty much match what I thought about the candidates. I've put the candidate maps in order below from my least-liked at the top to best-liked at the bottom...

John McCain

Hillary Clinton

Barack Obama

John Kerry

Howard Dean

Wesley Clark

John Edwards

What about you? :-)

On edit: The longer I stare at the Gore ratings, the less sure I am about him.

This graphic display of Gore's positions isn't so attractive to me...

1. Clark & Edwards always were my favorites. This confirms it. And I think the McCain rating is wrong
Especially lately, McCain has turned a hard right, though he was always a rightwing nutjob. He just used to seem to be an INDEPENDENT rightwing nutjob.

4. I think you are right about McCain and
I think Edwards is further left now, too. They've been adding new quotes to the page, but I don't know if the candidate "scores" have been updated - although Obama is there now so I thought maybe they had been updating some.

and now I can't find it.

8. Hard core liberal
I found it interesting that I matched up 80% with Rev. Al on the Dem candidates, and 85% with Nadar on Presidential candidates.

9. Yep. I wasn't surprised about Sharpton, but I was surprised about Nader.
I still wouldn't vote for Nader because I think he is running on 100% ego...

10. I made that mistake once,
and won't make it again. A vote for Nadar is a vote for the GOP.
