Do you think they might have hanged one of Saddam's look a likes? |

Maybe this is all a hoax. Saddam did have numerous body doubles. Just a thought

Think of that license plate on the cover of Abbey Road: "28 IF" .... Dick Cheney's popularity might reach 28% "if" they hang Saddam. But Saddam is actually on a double date with Ken Lay. So what is the most obvious second choice? Hang that guy who replaced Paul McCartney, and ruined the Beatles with "silly love songs."

had a lot of fun with John in the the LA lost days. Probably too much fun. The chances of this not being directly unrelated to the execution seem likely, indeed.

12. Of course, that proves a few things. |

we are both old enough to know who Rich Little is. Let's not let that get around. umm... though in reality, I only know him because he is pushing those Dean Martin videos on TV ... no really, that's how i came up with that. Heard he was funny back in the day...but um... wouldn't know myself.
Anyway... I agree Cali, some of the things posted here... e.g. a journalist who once asked Scottie (white house press person) a mean question about Rove is said to have committed suicide. Some DU'ers KNEW, for a fact, they were absolutely sure, that he was murdered... not that the journalist had any inside info, he just asked about the Plame leak, and from the info they had in a 1,000 word newspaper article, it was an open and closed case of murder. The freepers do no worse than that.

19. ok, so i will be forever branded as a lunatic |
|
but...
i am just a wee bit skeptical about this whole show.
we did not capture saddam, he was turned over to us. he was found in a "spider hole" that had no exit. he could not have escaped from where he was "put" if he wanted to. we were then informed of his whereabouts.
yet our media touted the whole "our valiant troops captured saddam" story to no end. hogwash.
during the whole trial, saddam could have sang like a canary. he could have, at the very least, been EXTREMELY embarassing for the boy king, cheney and rumsfield, and especially so for the latter two, who helped to CREATE him.
why would he not have spilled his guts? the best way to hurt the bush cabal would have been to do just that. and our media may not have reported it but it WOULD have gotten out.
unless he knew it was worth it not to.
and why do you put a thick scarf around the neck of someone who is about to be hanged?
so what if there is a little ropeburn. it's not like he, being dead, is going to give a shit. that one really puzzles me. it just doesn't wash.
and having a double take his place? there are many instances where suicider's families are offered unended care and support. why would these doubles respond any differently?
i am not saying for sure that the execution did not happen.
but given the track record of the criminals in power, and the lengths they will go to keep info from getting out, why not yet one more, elaborate show?
i suppose i will have to fall back on the "fooled me once, won't get fooled again" train of thought.
i'm just sayin'.....

21. have to admit the same thoughts have crossed my mind |
|
very easy not to talk in prison if you don't have anything to tell
and we've already established that people are willing to martyr themselves if their families are taken care of, it's well-known that saudi arabia pays the families of some of the suicide bombers
i should think if people are willing to blow themselves to pieces to get $25,000 for their families, someone somewhere would be willing to take the fall for a like or much higher award for their own family
not to say that it did happen but i don't know why it couldn't have
i think saddam is dead but yeah because of the actions of our glorious leaders there will always be that niggling doubt

its always the same old CS debunkers that blow their hot air into these threads. There's nothing wrong with discussing the possibilities, especially with such liars in power.
Saddam's wife said it wasn't him when he was first "captured" and they took her to see him. I'd tend to think she should know her husband.
