1. And he's not finished yet. |
|
More to come in 2007, unless the opposition somehow stops him. I think they will have to de-fund the war or impeach him to stop him from killing 3,000 more. Anything short of that will fail. And be immoral.

2. He's set in motion something that will be killing Americans for a long time |

and not just "over there". Even if his Iraq enterprise is stopped cold tomorrow, thousands of deaths for decades to come will be directly attributable in equal measure to things he has done and things he has not done.
He's going to be remembered as the Connecticut Pol Pot (the whole "Texan" thing being an utter fraud, like everything else about him).

10. Seriously, Don't You Think This Undermines Our Troops Deaths A Bit? At All? |
|
I know you think you have the right intentions, and I know there will be many to give great hoorahs for the work, but when I look at it I couldn't help feeling that the sacrifices and tragic deaths of so many brave men and women are being undermined for some cheap photoshop. I understand what you are trying to say, I just don't agree with the way it was gone about. I know you may not understand where I'm coming from and maybe I'm not explaining it well (hey, it's new years, I'm drunk and the wife is already passed out), but I still feel strongly that the picture just doesn't respect their loss of lives whatsoever.

12. Using The Death Of 3000 Brave Troops For Sake Of Cheap Ridicule Is Pathetic, Ain't It? |
|
I dunno, maybe it's just me, but that's my feelings on it.
To each their own perception I guess...

14. I understand your point ... |
|
... and it is a valid one.
But the purpose of the OP was not to ridicule the dead, but to ridicule the arrogant Idiot who caused those deaths.
As SoCalDem said, let HIM own it. He's treated the casualties as 'just a number', a 'comma', a 'shared sacrifice' that he takes no share in. Why not display the REAL attitude of the Smirkin' Chimp, in all of its deadly glory?

15. OMC, I appreciate deeply what you're saying |
|
The problem with satire is that it goes for uneasy laughs in the face of unutterable tragedy. Inevitably, the mockery intended toward the truly culpable can be seen to trivialize and cheapen those who suffered at their hands. But it was not at all intended.
The 3000 Americans dead at the hands of this maniac were - and remain always - my brothers and sisters. If this acerbic little joke seems to denigrate them, and the price they've paid for the madness of this appointed "president", I can only apologize and insist that no disrespect is meant to them. I believe each one of these 3000, and the thousands more fated to die, and the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who have died, all for Bush's whim, are martyrs. Any decent human being would and should mourn them, and I do, deeply.
All this death disgusts me and haunts me and sickens me. I try to express my outrage visually because words don't seem to be sufficient to express it. Cheap? Very possibly. But underlying it is a bottomless anger I can't begin to express any other way.
If you or anyone else finds this offensive, you have my absolutely sincere and humble apologies. It was intended as an indictment of someone guilty of crimes beyond imagining, not as a lark at the expense of this monster's victims.
Thank you for your comments.
