The History Channel has been showing end of the world shows
all day today. I guess they read this:

"Poll: Americans see gloom, doom in 2007

WASHINGTON - Another terrorist attack, a warmer planet, death and destruction from a natural disaster. These are among Americans' grim predictions for the United States in 2007.

Only a minority of people think the U.S. will go to war with Iran or North Korea over those countries' nuclear ambitions. An overwhelming majority of those surveyed think Congress will raise the federal minimum wage. One-third see hope for a cure to cancer.

These are among the findings of an Associated Press-AOL News poll that asked people in the U.S. to contemplate what 2007 holds for the country."

How much of this can be laid at Bush's door? Most of it, I think.

I did find it amusing that Bush fit so well with the "antichrist" descriptions on the History Channel. And we're certainly moving toward some kind of implanted ID so Bush and his minions can keep track of "terrorists" and political opponents. Wouldn't it really piss off the fundies if they found out their god was actually the anti-christ? It might almost be worth the unveiling just to see the fundies roll around moaning because their god -- well, WASN'T!

1. The Christian infomercial channel TBN was showing End Times movies all day yesterday
Last night, there was a movie with Mr. T. and the bald guy from LA Law, in which The Antichrist really sounded a lot like Bush. I think it was called Tribulation.

2. I had always assumed that * was the antichrist
but one person on the show said that the antichrist would be very attractive, charming and intelligent. I knew right than that * couldn't be the antichrist.

4. Maybe that's just an assumption?
Does it say anywhere that the anti-christ will be any of those things?

Bush certainly fits the evil, power mad part. And I'm sure he talks to Satan every night to get his marching orders for the next day... Or is it Cheney he talks to every night?

3. Yeah, I started watching this morning
when I saw Ted Haggart as one of their "spokespeople" for the evangelicals. I thought ... you need to stop running this old stuff unless you add an update at the end to reflect the news that you used a hypocrite as a expert source. :puke:

7. Exactly. Almost every generation can sight events in their lifetime
that may look to be apocalyptic. The most dangerous person in the world is one that takes an obscure book of the Bible and turns it into political directives.
