Photos from July 4th, 2001 Parade -- They Seem Like They're 50 Years Old
I came across a random website of July 4th, 2001 photos from a parade in Stonington, Ct. It seems like it was so long ago. The people convey an innocence and pride that I had forgotten ever existed ...

I remember that summer well. I was thinking about different things back then.

1. July 4, 2001, I watched the fireworks from the World Trade Center
Or, more correctly, I watched the cloud change colors that was between us and the fireworks... stupid cloud.

I sure didn't think at the time that 69 days later it would be gone. I'm glad I paid the outrageous $20 price for the photo they took of my friends and me after we paid $50 entrance fee for the all-you-can-eat hotdog buffet.

Still, it was hella fun, and I'm glad we paid the money for it all... it was my best experience ever at the WTC, except maybe dinner at Windows on the World.

2. I'll do you one better about a WTC experience
I smoked a big ol' doobie up there with a good friend while watching the sun set back in 1985.

5. OK, you wanna be that way?
I installed an antenna on the roof of one of the towers. Can't say it was scary, though. You could drive a truck around up there.

:hi:

4. Ah, I remember when I could see people dressed in red, white and blue
with symbolism of the flag, and not want to puke.

Yeah. Those were the days. Thanks, bush, you freak. x(

7. I know how you feel.
When ever I see people dressed in red, white and blue gear and waving their flags, I can't help but think they're repukes.

10. the friggin' sirens get a little old in my town
every fire truck from a 50 mile radius blasting their sirens sounds too much like an air raid warning now.
