Please don't bash the brave souls who watch Tweety

and others so that we don't have to. It's a a dirty job, but...you know the rest.

I've boycotted all corporate media (including my hometown newspaper and all cable channels) for over a year. I HATE the way Tweety and Wolfie and Katie "report" the news. They are blatant GOP propagandists.

But I don't mind reading about their latest GOP propaganda, when and if I feel up to it. The people with the strong stomachs who do post about this are doing me a favor. Without them, I'd be isolated and in ignorance. I do want to know what they're saying if only to harden my resolve to work for a fair media.

If you don't want to read about Tweety (and there are plenty of times when I don't either), just skip the thread. But some posters have been downright rude when a well meaning DUer takes the time to share the latest crap from him or his cohorts. They rudely tell the poster not to watch, and seem angrier at their fellow DUer than at the offending "journalist." What's up with that?

18. I do appreciate your reporting on tweety ~ I hung on until about a

month ago but after the Wolf Blitzer lie about Abramoff/partisan garbage, I finally couldn't handle any of it anymore. I do admire the fortitude of those who can still stomach them all and you are doing a great thing for your country by reporting on the propaganda machine for those of us who no longer have the strength to watch it.

I don't know why people can't just stay out of threads (or put the thread on Ignore) that they object to so strenuously. It's as if they feel they should have the final word in what the rest of us read or write. Odd. All they succeed in doing is insulting others and kicking a thread they object to reading - over and over again. Really odd.

You echo my thoughts. I usually miss Tweety because of his early broadcast time. And that's probably better for my health and blood pressure - but so are the DU'ers who trash fellow DU'ers who report on what these media whores say.

IMHO someone needs to hold these media whores to account or we're never going to wrest our country back from the Repukes.
