UberGeek Gates Has Too Much Money to Tax
This is the guy we want to make tax cuts permanent for?

<snip>
MICROSOFT founder Bill Gates, the world's richest man, said today the tax office in the US has to store his financial data on a special computer because his fortune is so vast.

"My tax return in the United States has to be kept on a special computer because their normal computers can't deal with the numbers," he said at a Microsoft conference held in Lisbon.

1. You have to admit
that he's given a shitload to charities.

2. But the country needs help, and who could absorb the loss with less
harm? Him or you and I?

3. Good point and here's
an intellectual exercise. What are Gate's expenditures with respect to taxes vs. charitible giving. Is he spending as much as if he were taxed? I don't know. I have a fairly strong Liberterian streak in me that says, tax to an extent, but let the owner decide how he donates. Idealistic? Yes. Could I be wrong? Yes. Just thinking out loud.:shrug:

4. Oh, but that is just an ideal, reality is what we have now....
Although I'll guess, that Gates would be in favor of paying more, if it meant everyone had health care, or that it was being used really for all and not just to the states that "do favors" for the King...Hell, if that were the case I'd even stop bitching about my taxes...You know, taxation with Representation?

5. Here's a weird idea.
No taxes are deducted from our paychecks. At the end of each month, we have to write a check to the government. The best part is, we direct where our tax dollars go. Now that's true democracy.

6. Trump said that in 2000
The wealthy should just get together and pay off the debt, it would be the best thing possible for the economy. Of course, I don't know if Trump even has any actual money, and I'd bet you wouldn't catch him saying that about the debt today anyway.
