My 2 year old just became politically aware!
So my mother in law (A lifelong republican, marine corp family) Is reading the newspaper and my 2 year old daughter sees the picture of Bush upside down on the page. She squints at it and says "Gma - dats curious George a monkey" She immediately accused me up of putting the kid up to it. I swear it came from her with no prompting or previous reference.

This is the same 2 year old that yelled in the middle of church last month - " i don't wanna go to church - i want to go to Disneyland and eat candy!"

just boasting about my kid, I know Ill stop it now.

3. My 3 year old and 5 year old simply call him "The Liar" - I've had to
tell them not to say that in public - we live in Utah!

K&R!

16. I understand - I lived in Utah for a while too
The only state where Clinton came third in 92. fourth in provo county! behind bush, perot and Bo Gritz who wanted to arm everyone over the age of 8 and decalre war on the UN. Not the most mentally stable group of voters out there.

6. What a vocabulary!
"Curious" is a curious word for one so young. Such acumen in consistent with a young person bright enough to instantly see through the disguise... the disguise intended to make Bush appear human--that is.

15. her mom is an english professor
So my daughter occassionally comes out with words like anticipation or frustrated.

One of our friends has a 5 yr old (both parents English PhD's) So they are talking too much and their 5 year old yells "you are talking my head off" The mom turns around and says "don't exagerate your head will not fall of if we talk" The kid sighs and says "mother - it was only a metaphor"

Kids pick up things from their parents - my daughter got the vocabulary from my wife and from me she learned to say "Dammit Kwame" whenever we watch the laker games.

7. Smart kid. I consider anyone who supports Bush a murderer & moron
I'd never associate with anyone who says anything positive about Bush.

That kid knows something is inherently monkey-like about *

9. A well-raised child
I remember a the child of a friend found a bible and asked: What's this 'Holly Bibble'? He didn't even know how to pronounce it and his parents were proud.

11. Hehe, sounds like my daughter

She'll be 3 in August. But she has one of those animal puzzles and will hold up a piece and do the "what is this? what does it say?"

So I hold up a duck, and ask her what does it say. Well her "quack" sounds just a little close to "crack", so my thinking processes went into motion and I say, "what does George Bush smoke?" then hold up the duck......"crack"

She'll also say "George Bush sucks" but got that prompted (just for her aunt) lol.

12. Mine just sang out in church.
Father was in the middle of his homily (at the end of liturgy), and Stephen sang out during a long pause, "E-I-E-I-O!" Father laughed so hard he forgot where he was in the homily and just ended it there. He'd also let the kids come up and sit on his lap while he sat down for announcements and such. I miss him, and he's so very ill right now . . .

Yeah, I hear ya on the loud kids in church. I'll see you and raise you another. ;) Both of mine are rabblerousers. :)

14. My 4 year old was sitting on my lap at church looking at the priest.
The priest said "I'm going to now request from you...." and my 4 year old rolled his eyes and said "What does God want now?"

That's so funny! :D

My son does have trouble with thinking our priest is God. We're still trying to explain that one. ;)
