God damnit I found it! May I present... human... animal... HYBRID!!!

http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/briefs/9510/10-26/

MASSACHUSETTS (CNN) -- Researchers in Massachusetts have created something that sounds more like science fiction than science fact. They've taken a prototype human ear made of polyester fabric and human cartilage cells, and implanted it on the back of a hairless mouse.

The mouse's tissue nourished the ear while the cartilage grew to replace the fiber. Scientists hope the technology will someday help them routinely regrow ears, noses, skin, bones, and even internal organs.

3. I remember reading about this a few years back.
Have any of these parts been actually used? Or, did they find out that the mouse genes weren't compatible? I don't remember seeing any follow up articles on this.

I don't care how fucked up, twisted, evil-hearted a dog is, it's an insult to that animal to compare it to the First Lady.

13. He kinda resembles Tom Delay..
Wasn't there a movie Zoolander - the ultimate Animal/Human-Hybrid

Also, why would someone with donkey ears complain about animal-hybrids during the state of the onion speech.

21. Not sure I'd call that a hybrid.

A hybrid is more like something done with gene splicing. This was just insertings cells and a support lattice into the mouse as a sort of parasite.

What you've got there is a chimera:
