Isn't it ironic that the greatest damage to this nation in living memory
was done by a lapsed Quaker. I always am astounded that Nixon, who should have been a man of peace, cut such a wide swath of destruction globally and domestically, and that he surrounded himself with the people that he did.

1. Actually, Jr is so much worse
I remember Nixon and told him how someone said Bush was getting as bad as Nixon and he said "Bush is much worse"
John Deans book Worse than Watergate underscores how much worse this one is.
Nixon was a very bad man but, Bush puts him to shame in the bad bad president race.

2. "The greatest damage," it appears to me,
is being done by an active Methodist. The lapsed Quaker was at best, second or third.

5. except bush isn't really in charge, nixon was
that's the difference for me at least. chimpy is just a place holder...a guy that reads the scripts. he really doesn't make any decisions. he's just the front man. the military industrial complex, the oil industries, the pharmaceuticals, chemical companies and other multinationals are actually running the country and doing the damage.

6. * is an apostate and a heretic, and an affront to Methodists who
sincerely hold the tenets of their belief sacred and practice them without impacting on anyone's lives.

7. In the Nixon years, the seeds were sown for the current crop of
criminals. He mentored many who went on to be come serial abusers of power. It will take more than one generation for Nixonian corruption to be purged from this nation.

current president being the most severe example. Most people abuse extreme power, specially if they're allowed to maintain that power for extended periods of time. Will SOMEBODY please give 'US' Term Limits!!!!!
