63. Negeoponte's testimony on Iran revealed a weak case
He said Iran was anti-U.S. who in the rest of the world isn't?

He said Iran had tensions with its neighbors. not any more so than we do.

He said Iran had missiles to, as he admitted, DEFEND their country against outside aggression. that would only threaten the U.S. if we meddled militarily like we did in Iraq.

And he mentioned Iran's ability to trade oil with regional partners which, he rightly asserts, undermines our efforts to turn them off of Iran.tough shit, Iran hasn't threatened the U.S. outside of our own threats to destabilize their country and potentially support or resort to a military attack against targets within their country. That's a legitimate defense for Iran, notwithstanding our desire to preemptively punish them for proceeding with a nuclear weapon's program that we admit they are not yet equipped for.

84. I got a question?
Does the 'Chairman'(Roberts in this case) of these hearings have the right to interrupt whenever he wants the other Senators on their time and cut off, argue, stonewall questioning of the panel? Did that make sense? Doesn't the 'Chairman' have his own set of minutes to use just like everybody else and not expect to be interrupted when he uses them by the other Senators? Just that session with Levin questioning the panel, or trying to seemed so out of order on Roberts part with his bullshit interruptions. Peace.

85. Repubs in the House have shut down sessions altogether when
dems asked questions off topic. I think it was Sensenbrenner who did that.

Remember the Gitmo hearings? Sensenbrenner didn't like the questions being asked, the answers being given by witnesses or the witnesses themselves and TURNED OFF THE MICROPHONES AS THE DEMOCRATS WERE ASKING THEIR QUESTIONS! He immediately brought the hearing to a close, refused to answer to a point of order by Nadler and walked out of the room. Yeah, the repukes can do pretty much anything they want and do. They even send Conyers and his hearings to the BASEMENT and refuse to let the Democrats use ANY hearing room in the building. They're a bunch of rat bastards.

Boo's back! :) She's so precious!

I made a promise to her to watch my mouth a bit more in these forums when a suspected freeper shows up! Wish me luck on that one I'm gonna need it! Can you tell Boo's ear is wet in this picture? She like swimming in the pool or just lying down beside it with her ear hanging over the edge on a hot day, thus the wet ear. Silly dawgie! Boo gives a big  back at ya and Isabel!

has done something like this? Is that what he is saying? Why is this criminal even on my screen and in my government?

obviously, per Negoponte, he asked a "tough question" "not that easy to respond to"

"What motivates the insurgency beyond our occupation?"
