D.U. Help! Bush Spied Before 9-11
Hi All,
Even though this story appeared two weeks ago,
it has been censored by the M.S.M. and even DemocracyNow!

I called D.N! twice and spoke to Tomiko.
She said they had passed on the info. to the producers and
maybe they would run it...but so far, NOTHING!

I even called N.P.R. and spoke with the ombudsman, but,
still NOTHING!

So if we could ALL call, well then maybe they'd run it...so.

DemocracyNow! # is 212-431-9090
N.P.R. # is 202-513-3232

Thanks to all at D.U. for being here!

2. There are serious blackouts going on. I'm sure that DU and DNow
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 01:50 PM by higher class
have legal considerations. At least we should hope so.

DU = certain things related to 9/11
DNow = pre 9/11?

I don't think it's wise to inundate DNow as we know they operate on a shoestring. We should figure out how to gather everyone's requests and comments and have them sent there in one or a few contacts.

NPR - no comment. I've given up on them. I used to praise their fairness.

3. Shoestring?
That's not what I heard.
They now get all kinds of money.
Used to be shoestring...no longer.
We've got to let them know they are
CENSORING this very important story.

7. shoestrings or not - DNow and other media's have as much to lose
as we do as citizens.

If the media does not get this out, there is no telling how many liberties will be trampled on, including the shoestring media outlets. In fact they have almost more at stake than we do.

Lastly I donate to DNow so consider part of my capitalistic rights.

to post or respond to certain things on DU that are realted to tidbits or speculation about 9-11. I don't understand it and can only think that there is some legal problem - or threatened problem because I don't think DU is a parallel to some easily rolled-over librarians. (I thank tha majority who don't roll over.)

I want to know it all.

Declassified.

U.S.S. Liberty Documents.

Hillary Clinton Documents.

Document 24: Statement for the Record of NSA Director Lt Gen Michael V. Hayden, USAF before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, April 12, 2000

In a rare public appearance by the NSA director, Lt. Gen. Michael Hayden outlines the regulatory safeguards and oversight mechanisms that are in place to ensure that the agency's electronic surveillance mission does not infringe upon the privacy of U.S. persons, and to respond to recent allegations that NSA provides intelligence information to U.S. companies.

Document 27: Statement for the Record by Lieutenant General Michael V. Hayden, Director, National Security Agency/Central Security Service Before the Joint Inquiry of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, October 17, 2002, Unclassified

Hayden, in his testimony to the joint committee intelligence performance prior to the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington of September 11, 2001, addresses three major questions: what did NSA know prior to September 11, what did NSA learn in retrospect, and what had NSA done in response? In his conclusions, Hayden addresses a number of issues - including the relationship between SIGINT and law enforcement, and the line between the government's need for counterterrorism information and the privacy interests of individuals residing in the United States.

38. You may as well give up on NPR
This is from an email I got in Nov 04 from a friend who used to be a regular on-air personality at NPR, in response to a note I sent him on election fraud:

"And I know, the reporting in the U.S. has been dismal, not only at NPR but also the New York Times. I'll take a careful look at what you've got on your site. I'm sure I can't get anyone at NPR to pay attention. (I mean, one of the reasons I felt I couldn't stay there was that they covered Monica Lewinsky as if it were a legitimate subset of the Whitewater investigation.) They hammered Clinton and have given Bush a pass, all in the name of appearing non-partisan. In other words, I'm sure that the reason you're not hearing this stuff on NPR is not because they're unaware of it."
