Philip Morris loses again
Williams v. Philip Morris has now been reviewed by the Oregon Supreme Court, and like the Oregon Court of Appeals twice before it, and the trial court before that, has found Philip Morris once again liable for the death of one of its customers by way of a fraudulent scheme to keep smokers smoking and to cover up or confuse the public record on the dangers of smoking to health. Fittingly, Philip Morris loses again in an opinion issued on Groundhog Day.
