Interesting. Bernie Sanders
The Abramoff scandal, per se, is absolutely a unilateral Republican
scandal. But the so-called "culture of corruption" from which it
emerged is absolutely bipartisan. Even the most liberal of Democrats - so
liberal he's actually an Independent - Congressman Bernie Sanders
acknowledged as much this week when he told public radio that every
bill, every measure that comes before the House is, in effect, "written
by Big Money." Insurance reform is written by health-industry
lobbyists, bankruptcy reform by the banks, privacy laws by the credit-card
companies. And tax-cut laws are written by the wealthiest interests,
which benefit from the cuts.

1. And in a one party congress
in the post 'K Street Project' era, how exactly does that become bi-partisan corruption?

If Bernie said that he is, like the rest of our stupid leadership, internallizing the rethuglicon talking points and mindlessly regurgitating them in typical liberal 'see all sides of nothing' idiocy.

3. how does that statement make it bipartisan?
Sanders says every bill is written by big money. He isn't a Republican; he doesn't get to introduce bills; he isn't involved.

The author hasn't shown that corruption is bipartisan; rather, s/he's shown that Sanders is awake.

6. You have noticed, haven't you, that Democratic bills don't make
it to the floor? That's because they aren't bought and paid for. Bernie's on target. This is a Republican scandal. And now, the talking point: Culture of Corruption, Culture of Corruption, Culture of Corruption, Culture of Corruption, Culture of Corruption.

8. Tell me now that a third party is not viable! I say give it a real try
with serious candidates...those dissatisfied with the party they are in now and a those Independents just waiting for a leader and a push from the public.
