1. Couldn't hold the audience either! LOL!
"Though Bush clocked his biggest numbers on the Fox broadcast network, that's not to say he did such a hot job retaining the "Idol" audience. In its final half-hour, Tuesday's episode -- set in Las Vegas and featuring auditions of the above-mentioned Idol wannabes -- the singing competition logged 33 million viewers.

In his first half-hour of speechifying, Bush averaged about 9.5 million viewers on Fox. That's a lousy 29 percent retention rate, which would get him canceled faster than he could say "Emily's Reasons Why Not" if he were a TV series."

3. Give credit where credit is due
Those highly intelligent, discriminating viewers of Idol know bad programming when they see it!

19. 1. He is certifiably insane.
2. He said we must reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Everyone got it wrong the next day and said just plain oil.

3. He's against human/animal cloning.

4. Couldn't find one pice of truth in the whole speech.

5. We're winning in Iraq. Or Iran I get them confused.

6. The economy is great. It is so great he has to run around and tell us.

I use to watch him and count the lies. This is the first time I've listened to him since the election. I did notice the MSM is still pro-*. I noticed the shots ignored the Democrats not standing up or not clapping. So we're right back to where we were.

7. God, that would be really funny if it wasn't so sad. It seems our
highest priority in this country should be education.

9. Watching a bush speech has nothing to do with education!
I never watch him speak. why? Because he never says anything of substance. He's either stretching the truth, hiding the truth or outright covering the truth; and when he isn't doing any of the above, he's mumbling on about nothing at all. I don't need to watch to know that anything he might say that sounds mildly appealing is probably just a slip of his tongue.

11. What do you suppose his ratings would have been if
they had only shown his speech on say ONE network, and still ran the regular programming on the rest of them. Commander in Chief would have been on, Boston Legal, and Your American Idol I guess although I never watch that one.

I've often thought of that. WHY does EVERY damn network and cable news ALL run the STOU? Aren't we still aloud to make choices in this Country?

Me, I watched the Food Network! At least I learned something useful!

14. I are curious...
What's Bush's current 'approval' rating?
How did the SOTU speech affect it?
