My Reply to Joe "Cave In Now" Lieberman's email
Dear Joe

I never contacted you. You have been, and continue to be, an embarrassment to the Democratic Party, and to the values the party represents. If this president had to invent an opposition that caved in to it's slighest whim, they would have used you as the template. I wish to never hear from your office again, until a spine is grown, which can be recognized in public as one that belongs to a member of the party that believes in civil liberties, and believes that scaring a populace with untruths is a basis for it's foreign policy is no policy at all. You have not done this. I will not reply again to any correspondence you send until your posture is otherwise. It is not. You have defamed your country, your party and it's servicemen and women by doing otherwise.

Until the day that I see otherwise, I will simply say Goodday sir.

Bob Gatenby

Or as I am known to those who love America....

> I value having the benefit of your thoughtful concerns, since I do

4. Heaven Forbid
He should have to run against a real Democrat for reelection. What a rebuke that would be.

2. Hilarious!
I wrote almost the same thing! Well, not the same words exactly, but the same sentiment. What a turn coat.

At this point in America, we need leaders we CAN COUNT ON. Turn against us once, and there is no margin for error. You are DONE! What a slimy thing for Lieberman to do. Perhaps he can now go lobby for some smarmy industry...like cheapo used cars, or waterbed sales. (I know they don't have lobbies.)

7. Let him simply run as what he is.
A Republican.

No, wait that would take stones. Stones he hasn't got.

12. What a powerful letter.
Just a suggestion...mail it to the rat bastard! Heck, you could even fax it. Someone will HAVE to read it. IMO, it would be well worth the time.

Peace.:patriot:

Substantive replies would require introspection.

Behold the void.

... but then you'd probably get 12 spams.

It's a lose-lose!

13. I didn't contact his office re: Alito
It would have been a pointless gesture. He was with them all along, IMHO.

20. Probably it's better to unsubscribe to whatever lists you don't want
to be on. I've gotten a lot of those too, piling up in my email program from all the letters I wrote and petitions I signed on Alito. I got them in response to both the emails and FAXes I sent out en masse, and ones I sent individually too. I don't suppose the Senators and their staffs really could personally answer most of what they receive. With only two Senators for each state, that's a lot of constituents.

So, although I don't like getting them, I don't really expect a personal response. That said, the canned letter from Lieberman that I got too (probably the same one) was annoying.
