9. You're full of crap!
The soldiers have a right to be seen. Those of us who are against the war have a right to reveal the suffering that is happening. It is the war-mongers who have no right to use the images of the soldiers they exploit for profit.

14. I didn't say soldiers don't have a "right to be seen"..
this isn't about that.

That soldier just looks tired. What right do we have to attribute anything to him?

I don't have a problem with "caption this!" type threads when the subject is a guilty fuck like Bush, but soldiers aren't props for that kind of thing IMO.

Consider that maybe it's you who's "full of crap".

11. She was born this morning at 4:12... I hope they're both ok...
I wonder when I'll get to see my new baby girl. They said she's beautiful.

Yes, kentuck, very very sad.

12. Under the wide and starry sky
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you grave for me;
“Here he lies where he longed to be,
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.” -- Robert Louis Stevenson

13. It's an old photo
It's a very dated photo: that uniform is the original "chocolate chip" desert pattern- haven't been worn in ages. Likely early 1990s.

18. I remember a couple of years ago when soldiers were complaining
They were issued "forest" camoflage uniforms. For the desert in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because they'd blend right in. :eyes:

I think it's safe to say uniform patterns mean little or nothing in terms of relevance in the 'well-equipped' military of today. If they were truly well-equipped they would have the same quality armor that saved the lives of Woodruff and Vogt last week. Good thing the media paid for those men to have that armor. Too bad they can't buy the troops some, too.
