There doesn't seem to be anyone else out there with a real presence. So ... Go Obama. I just have the feeling that Obama is just too unseasoned for the position. Then again, so was Kennedy.

3. and Lincoln had little experience. |
|
Barack Obama has as much experience as Abraham Lincoln. Both served about 8 years in an Illinois legislative body. Lincoln served in the Illinois House and Obama served in the Illinois state senate.
Lincoln served 2 yers in the US house of Representatives and Obama will serve 4 years of a 6 year term in the Senate as of 2008.
If you tell Obama not to run you might as well have considered Abraham Lincoln unworthy of attaining the presidency.

4. He commands any room he enters.... |
|
with charismatic energy and intellect. He's a natural leader, and gives people, hungry for a new voice, someone to believe in. He's seasoned enough for me.

5. You got that right ... |
|
There is no doubt that when he talks people listen. He has the stature, presence, articulation and bearing to run a great campaign. Some military service would have helped, but Clinton got by without that.
Honestly the only thing holding him back is CNN putting his name under Osama Bin Laden's face. I DESPISE the Conservative News Network nearly as much as I hate FOX!!!

People like those I have been seeing here on the DU that are attacking him on all levels because they do not want him to get the nomination. I just don't think I will be coming back to this web site too much after today because I just don't like politics as usual. I know I am too sensitive, but if I know someone, I just don't like to see them attacked. I am a wussy! ;-)
Anyway, I will be watching Monday to see if Obama declares himself a candidate, but hopefully I will get an email where I don't have to watch too closely. :7 I wish him luck and I hope our primary in Illinois is moved up where our votes will make a difference this time and not just be a useless gesture. If we have a repeat of 2004, I probably won't even bother voting. There is just no use, the candidate is already picked.
Enough of my negativity. Even if I have not made up my mind yet. Go Obama!

7. The media seems to have a bit of a split personality |
|
right now in regards to Obama. They have made him a media darling, and at the same time they are sending out all of the "name" negativity crap.
