An Omnibus Impeachment Bill
Since so many impeachable offenses have occurred, I realized that one bill for impeachment would be inadequate. Plus, some issues resonate with some people more than others. So, I was thinking that in the interest of efficiency that a bill could be drafted with kind of a Chinese Menu set-up. Senators and Congressmen could do a "one from Column A" and "one from Column B" sort of thing so that all interests could be represented in the final impeachment.

COLUMN A
Downing Street
Plame leak/conspiracy
Torture
Violating Oath of Office
(to uphold the Constitution)

COLUMN B
Katrina negligence
Illegal domestic surveillance
General Obstruction of Justice (stonewalling any and all legal Congressional oversight)

I know that I have forgotten some impeachables - feel free to add. While composing my list I realized that there have been many scandals as well that don't rise to the level of impeachment - just general disgust.

1. As long as Cheney goes first
I'm all for impeachment. But if Bush is impeached and removed from office without Cheney, the entire world is screwed.

Cheney is the mastermind behind the PNAC takeover of the government.

2. We can't even filibuster, never mind impeach !
It takes 67 votes in the Senate to convict on impeachment, and we could only get 25 to filibuster on a critical SCOTUS appointment. Now tell me how we are going to remove Bush by impeachment. Real world, please - not "Fantasy Island".
