2. Probably a failure in SOP
Like what happened to the P&O ferry that capsized in 1987

3. To quote Katie Couric, It could have been an act of terrorism, it's
a pretty volatile region of the world.

Got fear?

But seriously, more likely capsized after a mechanical failure or other problem with one of the big doors they use to drive cars on/off with.

4. Katie Couric wouldn't know an act of terrorism
if it bit her on the ass. She's one of those that we in the electonics biz used to say had zero ohms between the headsets.

5. Yeah, I know, I'm usually not a TV news watcher, but some mornings
it's on. It's always educational to see how they are spinning things. Kind of like the Administraion always mentioning 911 and Saddam. No, perhaps they didn't outright say he was behind it, but 70% of the people think so...

Zero ohms between the headsets. Good one.

6. Lots of discussions on BBC
looks like bad weather and vehicles shifting to one side of the ferry.
Tell Katie to shut the fuck up if she doesn't have facts.

9. Top Heavy!?!
There was bad weather at the time. If you see the image of the ferry, it looks surprisingly top heavy. I think additional decks may have been added after it was comissioned to add capacity. If you see the image, you can see two distinct styles. One on the lower area seems older and more of what you expect on the lines of a traditional ferry. Then there is the odd squarish cubical stack of decks on the top that look really out of place!

10. Plus CBS News said
the ship is 35 years old. Doesn't look well-maintained either.
