Evangelicals to launch 'Christian AIPAC'

A leading US evangelist is forming an umbrella organization under which all pro-Israel Christians in America can speak as one in support of the Jewish state.

Pastor John C. Hagee of San Antonio, Texas, is to launch Christians United for Israel (CUFI) at an invitation-only "Summit on Israel" next Tuesday at his Cornerstone Church.

The Texas-size church seats 5,000 worshipers and has some 17,000 members, but the summit will host a much smaller congregation: the spiritual leaders of an estimated 30 million US Christians.

"Think of CUFI as a Christian version of AIPAC ," Hagee told The Jerusalem Post. "We need to be able to respond instantly to Washington with our concerns about Israel. We must join forces to speak as one group and move as one body to the crisis Israel will be facing in the near future."

1. You'd think God would be connected enough....
to not need a lobbying group to get "His will be done"

These smarmy MoFos are really getting on my nerves. I want to smite them all!

3. why no similar christian groups to support palestinians?
this gang is all for supporting israel, but do not recall any such group for the palestinians.
are the palestinians not people too?

or maybe its just pat robertson trying to save his theme park after telling the world
that sharon was cursed with a stroke for not going along with the christofascists.

6. Palestinians do not have the resources to pay folks like Hagee.
I can't help thinking that something really horrible is going to happen to these people one day for their blasphemous use of God's name for their evil and hate.

4. Must be where the money is
It sounds like they're trying to develop a new niche to stuff their pockets with cash.

5. Call the IRS have them check on
Pastor John C. Hagee and all the rest of the guests at this meeting! You can go to www.irs.gov select forms and publications form number 3949A to report him. the 800 number is 829-0433. It is a recorded message We have to stop these guys, this is such a blatant violation of the law. If this were done by lots of people, the IRS would have to take notice and it sure would be good to stop them now.

7. Too bad they wouldn't do this for Katrina victims and future victims of
natural disasters in the US. I hope a lot of Hagee's congregation leaves his church over this. they are not Christians in the true sense of Christ's message but rather, they are Old Testament, patriarchal Bible thumpers.
