"Prosecutor Seeks Texas GOP Bank Records"
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Prosecutors investigating former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on felony conspiracy and money laundering charges are seeking bank records for the Texas Republican Party.

District Attorney Ronnie Earle issued a subpoena Thursday ordering Frost Bank to produce monthly statements and signature cards from August 2002 to January 2003 for accounts connected to the party or the Texas Republican Congressional Committee.

DeLay attorney Dick DeGuerin said the subpoenas are not enforceable because the charges are still under appeal.

"There's no setting, no trial, nothing that can be enforced," DeGuerin said. "Whoever gets (the subpoena), they can wad it up and throw them in the trash can."

4. Republican method of dealing with the law:
"wad it up and throw them in the trash can."

And the constitution too!

6. Wow.What a way to be a trustworthy leader. I wanna trust my country
to him. He's a beacon of all that america stands for. I tell you.

It's amazing that people who accept this contempt and arrogance claim higher moral ground than dissenters.
