or something like that! Fabulous photos all - I voted for my spouse this time, as he is really into lichen, moss and water (especially up here) - so the Creek won in his heart -

19. Theme. Composition. Color balance. Camera settings .... all considered..

I'm blown away by "Child's Play" and "Into The Mist" ... both really show skills I really admire. It's not enough to just "be there" ... it takes something in the eye of the photographer to capture the moment. In both of these, I see that ephemeral. Remarkable.

20. What fantastic images!

My first impression as I scrolled through was that I would have a hard time choosing a favorite. And while I still believe there are several phenomenal shots here, Strutting the Blues jumped right out at me. Didn't need to think about it -- it captures the theme of motion, but it's got vivid color, a remarkable humanity, and a very real sense of "event" captured in the shot. Kudos to the photographer! But kudos to all the photographers -- this contest is a great part of DU now.
