CBS correspondent John Roberts joins CNN
NEW YORK - Veteran CBS News White House correspondent John Roberts, snubbed by his network during the long and continuing search for Dan Rather's successor, is joining CNN.

Roberts, 49, made his last appearance for CBS News during coverage of President Bush's State of the Union address Tuesday. He starts at CNN Feb. 20.

As a senior national correspondent based in Washington, Roberts will report for various CNN newscasts and be an occasional substitute anchor, said Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S., on Wednesday.

"We are making a big commitment to emphasizing enterprise reporting, and John helps us immeasurably increase our ability to break stories and report news that no one else has," said Klein, a former CBS News executive. "He's well-trained and well-connected. He's a digger."

1. good
I dig him. It doesn't make up for them hiring bigots, gamblers and hatemongers like Bill Bennet, JC Watts and Glen Beck, but it's something.

4. Roberts Is A Bush Shill....Don't Be Fooled...
I had a run in with him about his distortions on the Social Security issue and he refused to correct his lies...I don't trust him one bit...

Don't blame him really. Both CBS and CNN are pretty much equal on my disgraceful meter and he'll fit in just fine at CNN.
