Glad we could help: "More Chinese are becoming millionaires"
"....More than 300,000 Chinese have a net worth over $1 million, excluding property, according to Merrill Lynch & Co. And mainland millionaires control some $530 billion in assets, Boston Consulting Group estimates. 'There has been a revolution in attitudes toward wealth,' says Rupert Hoogewerf, who authored the 1999 list. He now runs Hurun Report, a Shanghai-based company specializing in information about China's rich, which just released a survey on millionaires' buying habits. 'People don't appreciate how much cash there is running around in China today,' he says...."

:eyes:

To add insult to injury is that asinine poll to the right of the article: "Do you agree with forecasts that China will likely surpass Japan and the U.S. to become the top luxury market in a decade?" Well, yeah, but not because of the "sheer number of consumers". Dumbasses.

5. Hey, thanks for that link. Blunt, brutal. Takes the racists' hammer
of mocking Asians out of their hands and turns it against them.
In short, a perfect link for me to pass on to a few people I know.....

I hope I did not offend anyone!

My son told me, a couple years ago that Music and Art would stop the BFEE.

This video is ART.

7. Argh, I don't know...
I am a flutemaker. In my collection is a flute made 5 hundred years ago in China. It is one of my most treasured possessions.

FOr 25 years we have sold our wares at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. In our little microcosm there are people working and interacting from all over the world. We all are like family. We are kind to each other.

What scares me is my not knowing what to do to MAKE the world better.

I collaborated on a silver flute with a friend from China, a jeweler. We made such a beautiful thing together.

You tell me, why is this video disturbing? Or is it. It makes me more ashamed to be an American and I already was VERY ashamed of our GOD DAMNED government that I could SCREAM!

I was just trying to make nice things.... and then bu$h installed himself.....

hmmmmm.... does that make sense?

10. Actually I was asking Veganistan how my post (or yours) would be
considered racist.
I do think the film at your link was art.

8. Imagine how much those seats will cost at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
The average American will have to sit in the nosebleed section. :wow:
