How can Bush continue to laugh & crack jokes as often as he does?
Considering what dire circumstances we're in today...masses of people dying and suffering all because of him...no REAL president would EVER make light so often as Bush does. This guy thinks everything can be written off with a cleverly timed Rovian joke...or perhaps a well-placed smirk or two.

He's a real fucking comedian, isn't he.

corny and silly at best. The press is always laughing at them so I guess they have juvenile minds.

3. You answered your own question: * is not a real president
He never won a presidential election and his concerns were never about the nation anyway. He serves masters other than the American people.

13. Also sociopathic
Antisocial personality disorder: A pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others and inability or unwillingness to conform to what are considered to be the norms of society.

The disorder involves a history of chronic antisocial behavior that begins before the age of 15 and continues into adulthood. The disorder is manifested by a pattern of irresponsible and antisocial behavior as indicated by academic failure, poor job performance, illegal activities, recklessness, and impulsive behavior. Symptoms may include dysphoria, an inability to tolerate boredom, feeling victimized, and a diminished capacity for intimacy.

Antisocial personality disorder, also known as psychopathic personality or sociopathic personality often brings a person into conflict with society as a consequence of a pattern of behavior that is amoral and unethical. Complications that might arise from having this disorder include: frequent imprisonment for unlawful behavior, alcoholism and drug abuse.

22. Narcissistic Personality Disorder
<snip>
Narcissistic personality disorder describes a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, lack of empathy, and hypersensitivity to evaluation by others. Self-centeredness and being self-absorbed and being unable to empathize with others affecting the person’s interactions with others, characterizes this personality disorder. It is a form of depression, resulting in an increased likelihood of hospitalization.

Patients with narcissistic personality disorder often have a need to be the center of attention and to control events. They crave affection and admiration from others. They are perfectionists (about themselves). They may try to create dramatic crises to obtain attention to return the focus to themselves. As with patients with antisocial personality disorder, entitlement issues are very important. Patients with narcissistic personality disorder feel as if everyone and everything owes them — without any contribution on their part.

31. That fits him, doesn't it?
The symptoms of Narcissistic personality disorder could have been written with him in mind. As far as the joking is concerned, I've noticed that most of his "jokes" were thinly disguised barbs of hostility. Some people seem to enjoy using hostile humor, because when called on their cruelty, they can pretend they were just kidding. He's done this many times, from what I remember.

Bush, because of his disorders, is absolutely the worst choice for president of the United States. People like him should never have the ability to make life or death decisions, because they lack a conscience. He has surrounded himself with people like himself, who have no qualms about destroying other people's lives. Bush and his whole administration are heartless, amoral, greedy bastards, who will do anything to get what they want.

35. Yep. He belongs in a padded cell.
Edited on Sat Feb-04-06 02:33 PM by TahitiNut
His disorders are, at this point, untreatable. They do not exonerate him despite their being used to manipulate him - the pathological manipulator. In the greater sense, however, he and his coterie represent what we have become as a nation: self-centered, self-indulgent adolescents who hate school and bully the littler kids. We've entrapped ourselves in the deteriorating generational child abuse syndrome of authoritarianism/paternalism.

36. You are so right
He does represent what we've become as a nation, and what we've become horrifies me. I often wonder why the rest of the world doesn't join forces and slap us down. Bush has a deep sadistic streak, and I'm convinced that's why he used the Presidential signing statement to say that he can torture if he wants to.

He loves causing pain and death, and he loves humiliating others in public. He certainly does belong in a padded cell. That such a demented individual should wield so much power is sickening to me. Even great men must constantly self-check, just to be sure they aren't abusing their positions; such a mental self searching would be impossible for him.

His humor is not humor at all, it's hostility, and always has to be at somebody else's expense.

He and his constituency are doing great. Who was it? Exxon? Posted like a zillion in profits last quarter. Halliburton's makin' out like a mofo.

It's the giddiness of victory and achievement. Sure, the country is going to a craphole but that's someone else's problem to deal with.

Heck, if I were Bush and I went from family f**k-up to the most successful President in modern history (in terms of delivering for the clients), I'd be wearing that silly crap-eating grin too.

20. "What didn't go right"
Every thing is just hunky-dorey with Bush and company. Things just could be better. Remember this little gem between Bush and Nancy Pelosi during the Hurricane Katrina debacle:

PELOSI: When I said to the president that he should fire Michael Brown, he said, "Why would I do that?" I said, "Because of all that went wrong, with all that didn't go right last week." And he said, "What didn't go right?" Oblivious, in denial, dangerous.

37. GW Bush Sociopath
The following statement was made to Cindy Sheehan at a meeting with the Silverspoon Sociopath.

"I will never feel the same level of pain and loss you do. I didn't lose anyone close to me, a member of my family or someone that I love. But I want you to know that I didn't go into this lightly. This was a decision that I struggle with every day." GW Bush

GW Bush had a sister who died. The family went golfing the next day. Did he forget that he had a sister who died? “I didn't lose anyone close to me, a member of my family or someone that I love.” Maybe his sister wasn’t close to him or he didn’t love her but she (was a member of his family.)
