Spot the paragraph of spin and distortion in this O'Reilly column

HA!...Trick question. With great flourish and finesse, Ol' Bill hits a grand slam home run for the Washington Neo-Cons, spinning fabricated excuses, bullshit, and spin into EVERY single paragraph.

For added fun, read this in BO's "elite media" voice (my comments in ital):

"The Hate Bush Syndrome"

By: Bill O'Reilly
Thursday, Dec 29, 2005

No question that the two big stories this year were Katrina and the continuing chaos in Iraq. Both contain lessons. Katrina demonstrated just what can happen when the water hits the dam; no branch of government can save you from disaster. Those who didn't have the smarts or the wherewithal to flee the Hurricane got blasted especially in New Orleans. A metaphor for life: Get smart and depend on yourself. No bureaucracy can protect you from crisis or disaster.

Did you get the message in that last paragraph?

Iraq taught us that well intentioned theory can be trumped by unpredictable behavior. Before the invasion, the Bush administration was convinced the Iraqi people would be so thrilled by the prospective of a life free from tyranny, that they would embrace coalition forces and a chance for democracy. It turns out that some Iraqis are addicted to tyranny and enjoy inflicting terror on anyone who opposes it. Should the USA have known that before it began nation building in a chaotic land? Probably.

Pleeeeze enslave me...I'm addicted to torture

snip
There was one important story this year that went largely unreported, and that is the full-blown emergence of the "hate Bush media." This phenomenon is unlike anything the country has seen since the final days of Richard Nixon. Liberals will tell you that Bill Clinton was vilified in the media, but compared to the loathing directed at President Bush, Clinton's press plight was a foot massage.

It's not Buxh's fault that it was a bad year for America nobody blamed Clinton for the booming 90s

snip
This loathing of the President is, without a doubt, dangerous for the nation. Any kind of irrationality on the part of the American media impedes the honest flow of information and causes damage to our system of checks and balances. The press is supposed to be an honest watchdog, not a vicious pit bull bent on destruction.

Stop printing investigative stories, and let the information flow

Most importantly, if the mainstream media will not give Mr. Bush a fair shake, the terrorists score a major victory. Chaos at the top aids the enemy. Right now, America desperately needs an honest press. It does not need a vengeful press.

Hahahaha...Fox News' own Bill O'Reilly carping about a "vengeful media"

More propaganda here

4. I have nothing but contempt for that man.
The way he treated the boy whose father was killed in 911 was shameful. The boy said he didnt hate the terrorists for what they'd done. O'Reilly went ballistic/yelled at him/"shut up you stupid kid-(the terrorists) KILLED YOUR FATHER." He made the boy cry on TV. And I read where he acosted him at the water cooler after the interview and chased him out of the building. What a jerk.

10. I watched Outfoxed and after that scene...
I just had to stop watching. I was just so angry and upset, from watching that behavior.

I was watching with my parents and if that asshole tried that shit with me, if my dad was dead and this sanctimonious twit started to lecture me on what he would have said? I would have reached across the table and punched him in the face.

I work in midtown Manhattan, and every day I resist the urge to take the subway to Times Square, go to the Newscorp building, and kick Bill O'Reilly in the crotch. He's an asshole and a coward, and he doesn't deserve to work in this brilliant fucking city.

2. What puzzles
me is how Fox news anchors constantly blame the media when fox whores constantly claim no one is watching the other networks and fox is #1. Is O'lielly blaming fox? I guess corporate whores like Olielly get lots and lots of pride from getting a large paycheck while Americans are at war...By the way you can count on Beauracracy just not Aristocracy run by Bush

3. O'Reilly carping about a "vengeful media" ...
... that's ALMOST as funny as his comment about "America desperately needing an honest press."

O'Reilly should spearhead the movement he's advocating - if he left the air tomorrow, the media would IMMEDIATELY be 'less vengeful' and 'more honest' ...

5. Katrina showed the lack of response from the government
towards its needy. They responded much better to the Tsunami. Even Shep from Faux News saw it.

Give W a fair break? Get real. The MSM bent over backwards and let all their journalistic objectives go in the process.

O'Reilly needs to go back to his falafel. He's lost all credibility of being a journalist.

I'm surprised he's not a co-author to his GOP buddy's book on pornography and bestiality.

6. Very convenient to blame it all on the media
What about the fact that over half of the American people hate him?

7. Gee-Why would there be more loathing directed
toward Herr Schicklegruber than toward Clinton? It ain't by the media!
Makes one wonder how anyone could become so totally sick in the brain as to either falsely convince others of his imaginary world or actually believe it himself.
Could this be the "selling one's soul to the devil" that gets some christians so excited and exercised?

8. Stop criticizing the President!
You're helping "the terrorists"!

:eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes:

You're right, man, that is a veritable masterpiece of bullshit.

9. It's laughable to us
But the sad thing is that rhetoric like that is believed by the gullible. It's emotional blackmail, really. Support this president or you support the terrorists. That's your choice.

12. That's so bad, it's not even wrong
It exists in another space-time continuum entirely, where facts are lies because they are facts, and opinion is right so long as it's O'Reilly's opinion.
