This is the first time, large audiences are going to be reminded in a brilliant way that Bush is Nixon incarnate. And boldy stating

BUSH IS BREAKING THE LAW



No clutter, just lays it right out there right over his face. This is going to drive him nuts. The poll supporting impeachment is already at 53%. The only reason it's that low is because the way they phrase the spying question. This ad takes care of that. It's going to be on CNN when they will be forced to talk about what happened in the hearings.

I don't think Gonzalez has a clue what kind of an oven he's going to be cooked in. The ad then reinforces what I believe will be Gonzalez stuttering for answers, contradicting himself and showing the people they are looking at the truth.

The one thing that unequivocally forces any political party to face what they gotta do is when the public demands it. I have a feeling that poll number is going to shoot skyward rapidly.

I mean, the Hitler comparisons are over the top, offensive and lose a lot of people along the way.

But, what is offensive about comparing Dubya to Nixon? Of course, there are still a lot of hard core Republicans who refuse to admit Nixon did anything wrong, but I think most people think of Nixon as a crook. That is, most people who know what he did. Some of the younger crowd probably have no idea.

just remember what the right has tried to do to MoveOn's reputation. There is just as much of a chance that people will see who produced the ad and let it slide by like everything else as there is that it will have a major impact.

On the other hand, I also commend MoveOn for taking a stand in a big, bold way like this.

putting it on CNN on the day they will be talking non stop about the hearing. If that hearing shows what I think it will, people will realize MoveOn is telling them the truth.

The one thing people can relate to is Nixon. It's black and white. He had to resign in humiliation, almost in tears. They put Bush's face right on his neck.

RW followers are followers. And when they realize regular people are funding this ad, it does challenge their assumptions. It does. These people are "go along with the groupthink" people, and we have to show them that there is an alternative group thing, and that they're being hoodwinked.
