Help un-Freep my tiny hometown paper....

Boy, Al P has some interesting insights, any true facts to support those statements. I'm sure the Dems are riding high and living large after their stellar performance during the recent Alito hearings. At least GW stands firm on stable principles and is not waffling in the wind. Being recently retired from the military, I can tell you that my colleagues consistently supported GW's leadership. When my military colleagues and I received promotions from the former President we were embarrassed to place them on our walls and just put them in the draw. We all stood tall and were proud to have GW sign our promotions. GW is a GREAT leader and not wishy washy. Unfortunately, most of the Minnesotans I run into lack worldly experience (maybe traveled to Wisc) and view the world through a Minnesotan filter. Having just returned from 6 yrs in Asia, people outside the country have a whole different perspective on life. The terrorists are not a group of folks you can reason or negotiate with unfortunately. A good example is Hamas, I would encourage those who think you can reason with them to give it a try. We can provide you a free airplane ticket to give it a shot. Most likely you would only need a one-way ticket. Go GW.

I added my response and as of 48 hours later..it was not posted on the website. I am sick of this. Any help is appreciated.

5. It's not about the poll.....
Bless you for reading this, though. You are terrific.

I will post the poll below. I just wanted help in responding to the freeper remarks that were associated with the poll.

You can find the poll on the right-hand side.

WOW! My poor little hometown paper won't know what hit it.

7. Thanks! But please be sure to leave your comments!
I LOVE that you guys/gals are helping me out on this!

It's not the poll results that are in question...it's the fact that the freeper mentality has permeated the newspaper. We need to try and get OUR comments recorded.

I know this is small potatoes compared to the NYTimes or other big papers....but this hits home for me.

9. "not a group of folks you can reason or negotiate with"??
Am I supposed to believe this moran, who can't even write grammatically correct English with the help of an editor, speaks Arabic and knows this from first-hand experience? No ... he's told this to make his hatred more intense and make it easier to pull a trigger. This is a human weapon, brain-washed and indoctrinated. We should have laws requiring counseling and instruction on how to be a human being before some of these guys are allowed back on American soil. I was one. I know.

11. He's bitching about Hamas getting elected
yet their dear leader just said it's our duty to promote democracy to tthe middle east and we are seeing the repurcussions of that wonderful policy. Fuck tthis moron. Send him back tto Iraq or better yet Syrria or Iran to promote democracy.

They reaally are thick headed. Whaht the fuck is wrong with these people? Critical thoughgt is alien to them.

12. This doesn't sound like any military person I know
And believe me, right now I know a lot of them. This letter has the stench of a plant
that is being fed manure. I could be wrong of course, but I doubt it.

I DU'ed the poll, though! :hi:

15. Unless things have changed a lot ...
Edited on Sun Feb-05-06 01:13 AM by TahitiNut
... (or unless this one was an officer - extremely doubtful), the President doesn't have to approve of enlisted promotions. Enlisted promotions don't even go near D.C. unless that's the duty station. I'm even doubtful that officer promotions below flag rank need Presidential authorization except for the original commission. They're written up just like all the other crap (e.g. orders) that comes out of HQ. I did, however, run into a few of such brain-dead cowboys in the Army ... just not any that went to Nam and survived.
