How many consumables can a consumer, consume?
Enlighten me if you can.
The middle class is being squeezed financially. Jobs are disappearing in our country, and the few new jobs pay low wages…often without benefit of health insurance. Benefits to seniors are being cut, pensions being erased in the twinkling of an eye. Even student loans are being cut.

Businesses thrive by selling goods and services to people who consume what they have to offer.
If you only have the wealthiest people able to afford stuff, how can businesses expect to remain viable?
I see very few businesses able to withstand the loss of business revenue if this trend continues. Already I see many businesses closing, and I fear we have not seen the end of it by a long shot. My local mall is a shock to behold. I have never seen so many closed shops at once in a mall setting. The wealthy only need so many clothes, groceries, and entertainment for their own families.
Think of shops in your neighborhood, your old neighborhood, your parents and siblings neighborhoods. Gone, closed, and now blighted eyesores along the highway. It is already happening.
The middle class is the glue which holds it altogether….why doesn’t anyone see this?

Again, please enlighten me…what are they thinking????

2. They alone cannot keep the shops open, the restaurants serving
Shortsighted, to be sure, if that is what they are thinking.

4. Two words:
"Peak oil".

Us before them, and they made the "service economy" that was hyped up under reagan.

Pity how the crooks always end up winning.

I've accepted my fate. The jails being built are for those who don't accept theirs.
