I've decided what it is that i want to see from my Democratic reps in DC-
ANGER!

i want to see them, ALL of them, ANY of them as FUCKING ANGRY AND DISGUSTED as i am, GODDAMMIT!

no more calm cool cajolling and playing footsie with the other side.
when Clinton was in office, the neocon nazi repugs were frothing at the mouth all over the supposedly liberal media- and look where it's gotten them!

and our guys just seem content to throw up their collective hands and bend over as a group and say "thank-you sir, may i have another...?"

have you EVER seen john kerry get ANGRY? i don't mean cross or upset, or even incredulous...i mean ANGRY!

and every one of those...doormats- SHOULD be as angry as i am. ANGRIER even- because at least I have never been humiliated in front of my constituency, time and time again- and there are VERY FEW democratic reps who can make that claim.

GET ANGRY ALREADY!

:grr:  :banghead:

3. Opposition and Rescue
They always give us the impression that they have to be diplomatic because that is the tradition. Historically, Dems have dominated and played some tricks? How far back in history? Have the current Dems played as dirty as the Republicans. Is the fact that they* don't fight a signal for Repubs to play even dirtier?

There is no argument that the Republican stealth agenda to rule us by stealth may never have been so fiercely carried out in our history.

Why call on historical diplomacy to fight historical stealth and indecency?

*They = Conyers, Boxer, and their supporters are not included in my rant.

6. True, dat
This is past time for words of compromise & mutual cooperation. It's now time to push back, and push back hard.

5. They refuse to stand up for America
This is the bottom line: The Repugs are shredding the Principles this country was founded on, The Constitution, the Bill of Rights, even the laws of the land. They are taking away our freedom an inch at a time. They lie & steal and don't care who knows. They want to create a theocracy run by corporations, instead of a democracy. have orgotten "of the People. for the People"- it is now, of business, for business. And our reps refuse to see this for what it is- a destruction of America. Why can't they, like the people who founded this country, stand up for what is right and so "no more"? And so so loudly and often? I wonder what is wrong with them? No one can be bullied that much and still refuse to do anything about it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?

8. about the only thing i can figure-
is that David Ickes is right- and the bushies are really shape-shifting lizard beings from another galaxy, and they've "explained" what's what with a little demonstration for the elected officials.

either that, or poppy bush's virginia farmboys have the goods on each and every one of them in one way or another.

what else could it be...? how do they look themselves in the mirror every day and not break down, crying in shame(maybe they do...)?
