Vent away in cyberspace
Feel as if your concerns about the hurricane recovery aren't getting through? Send a message to President Bush's "recovery coordinator" Donald Powell. Powell will take part in a live interactive Web forum, "Ask the White House," on Monday at 3 p.m., according to the White House Web site. On Friday, the site had him listed incorrectly as "David Powell," but don't let that fool you. He is Bush's No. 1 man on the Gulf Coast, and he will be standing by waiting to hear from you. Go to www.whitehouse.gov and click on the "Ask the White House" icon. . . . . . . .

2. K&R...a good chance to tell them what we think re: handling of Katrina!

Anita_Garcia...maybe you should change your subject line to say something about Katrina. It would get more attention that way.

Recommended.

And for just a taste of how out-of-touch Bush remains on Katrina Relief, there's this from the website:
President Participates in Roundtable with Small Business Owners and Community Leaders in New Orleans

"New Orleans is reminding me of the city I used to come to visit. It's a heck of a place to bring your family. It's a great place to find some of the greatest food in the world and some wonderful fun. And I'm glad you got your infrastructure back on its feet..."

He's glad they got their infrastructure back on its feet??? That's not what I've been reading! They need a lot of help still.
