Think Global - Act Local!
How many know what that means?...
I can only speak for myself but it screams to me that in oder to effect change Globally we need local people who are willing to get up and do something...
ie local elections, we need more Democrats IMO...starting locally, this is where our Congressmen, Senator, and even Presidents will come from...
Few will disagree that our Present administration is beyond repair and that a change is needed but in order to do that we need to concentrate on the local and reginal elections...take care of the penny's, the dollars will follow.
I vow to work hard, here at home, as well as in cyberspace, to get good people elected to office that will look out for mine and my fellow Kentuckians interests, and I'm sure with the help of other states those best interests will merge to form a better government for all of us...
Anybody with me?...

1. Right with you
I'm helping a candidate in Illinois, though I'm a Georgia voter.
Met him on DU actually.

This sort of action is critical.

2. All politics are local
everyone should be involved in local politics one way or the other. It also makes you feel like you are actually involved and not just whining on the sidelines.

3. "Think globally, act locally"; been doing that for decades
as a member of my local democratic activists group-mostly I work on various campaigns going into the election season, voter enrollment, and help organize/ attend rallies and protests.

4. I guess, in message boards...
you only hear about all the national stuff, and not a lot about local things...
I feel that forums, even mine, are missing out on how we can make a difference, by drawing local groups in that can glean information and help with local problems...
