"The Boondocks" added to 'my' local newspaper

The Fayetteville Observer has run a poll on which comic strip to add to the comics page to replace the re-ran Calvin & Hobbes. The overwhelming, or as they said "clear," winner for choice of which new strip to run is The Boondocks.

This is the newspaper for the red-state red-town Ft. Bragg community. I can see some shit hitting fan. I give it maybe three months?

This is the paper that dropped Molly Ivins because they said she was getting repetitive (of course she was getting repetitive, we still haven't thrown the bastards out of power!) and regularly runs who is just about the only hard-right political cartoonist in the country (which with there is nothing wrong except that the guy is an idiot and they run hime WAY too often). They publish the Ft. Bragg community weekly, The Paraglide, a large contract, and so are very careful about steeping on toes.
