I suggest that DU'ers get on opposing boards and speak your minds.

There are some lame-ass resistors to the RW there; which makes Koolaid taste even sweeter to the initiated and their quarry.

While there are some really smart cookies on the major RW boards, many of these folks are unprepared for the caliber of onslaught that could be unleashed upon their most sacro-political beliefs. Spare the person but attack the idea.

1. once in a while i'll go

on the aol iraq war board - it's too easy to mess with the wingnuts' heads over there - it's like childplay. they kind of grunt and groan and come up with a few choice curse words or resort to name-calling, but that's about all they've got in their repertoire!

4. I post over at the PBS Now

politics & economy boards where there are a great many bush bots that have come around trying to bash the left-leaning Bill Moyers (now David Brancaccio) folks. They're arrogant and offensive, and not always so smart. But they're damed persistent and annoying to no end. That hasn't stopped me and many of other fine liberal-minded folks from letting them rule the roost over there.

Anyway, I'm all in support of your message. Not only does it teach what the adversary is like, it hones our message and, frankly, we can't always be preaching to the choir.

5. I post on few mixed lists

because I've been cyberstalked and had my ISP threatened by right wingers in the past. They are nasty, petty, mean spirited, and vindictive. I keep my posts on mixed forums to a minimum because of that, but I don't tone down my rhetoric one bit.

Now that I've got a main ISP and a backup, perhaps I'll start being a little braver.

I don't care. I fought ignorant thought on Hannity's board for over a year before joining the DU. In fact, that's how I learned about this board!
