Bush's Tyranny for a Bankrupt Nation

Is it really so important to reward the “fortunate 1%” that the administration would risk the economic well-being and solvency of the nation?

And, what is the relationship between the ocean of debt produced by the Bush team and their strengthening of police-state apparatus like unlimited spying on Americans, the NSS (Bush’s new Secret Police), the uniform Federal ID program, the Patriot Act, and Halliburton’s $385 million contract from Homeland Security to construct new detention and processing facilities within the United States?

Is the ascendancy of the police-state intended to balance the catastrophic effects of economic destruction? Or, do the new instruments of repression anticipate the “political turmoil” (Warren Buffet’s words) that naturally results from financial collapse?

1. It may already be too late for America to wake up
unfortunately the bu$h regime has put in place most of its most important pieces to make this happen. Alito was the last piece of the puzzle.

5. The .1% have jumped into the lifeboats and are sailing away from...
the wreck of the U.S. Economy. It's about globalization--just like it's always been. The wealthy few enslave the masses to feed their lavish lifestyles and the sheep go along with it for fear that their neighbor may collect an extra crust of bread and they will not.

12. Literally. I fear they are sailing to China...
With the shattered remains of the US to be neatly rubbed out; which in turn instantly saves big on oil supplies and that global warming problem we all keep ranting about. (isn't being part of the solution cool?)

How will they do it? Controlled disease?

2. Bush`s lack of respect for
our laws and institutions and his personal history of never being held accountable for anything have helped create this idea that he can do whatever he wants. Torture, lying about reasons for war, domestic spying, throwing someone out of a "town hall" meeting because of a bumpersticker, you name it and he can do it. The lack of Congressional oversight is a bonus in his march toward a police state.

A bankrupt nation is exactly what these fascists want. They`ll still get their war dollars, but the best news for them is the dismantling of social programs.

3. Saying its a "risk" implies that they are aware and concerned about
the consequences.

They aren't "risking" anything: They are knowingly throwing it away.

"Dragnet nabs 10,000 fugitives April 15, 2005
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- More than 10,000 fugitives from justice have been captured in a nationwide, weeklong dragnet involving federal, state and local authorities, said the U.S. Marshals Service, which led the effort.

Operation FALCON lasted from April 4 - 10 and marks the largest number of arrests ever recorded during a single operation. Of priority: suspects wanted in homicides, sexual assaults, gang-related crimes, kidnappings,
major drug offenses, and crimes against children and the elderly.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/04/14/fugitive.arrests/index.htm

Most people didn't give this a second thought and in fact it sounds like a good thing, but to people who come from a law enforcement background it sounded damn peculiar. The reason is that in law enforcement, when you find out the location of a dangerous fugitive... especially murder suspects... you don't wait until you have 10,000 warrants piled up and do a mass round-up.

You get a squad together and get the suspect before he/she has a chance to move! Fugitives don't wait around when they know that there is a warrant out for them, they keep moving.I asked friends of mine from the FBI and other agencies if this made any sense and they all agreed that it didn't. It looked like a practice run for a mass roundup.

Remember... every sword thrust from Bush Co has a hidden agenda that has been in the works for a long time."

8. I still think it goes in a sort of wave.
Right now we are moving to wards the crest and it will crash over. It always has. The base of Bush people belief that some people need to rule and not the people,it has been in our history since before the founders. It is an old fight. Mostly the world is moving to wards the people should rule and power from the bottom up. We have hundreds of years of history going this way. It is only normal that the people in power hope to stop this as they are the very people who seem to think they were born to rule and know what is best. I do not have hope for the hearing. It is run by a Sen. who thinks he should rule. I recall reading he used to send order ahead of him self when he traveled to have the hand ball course at a set temp. and other such things. He likes to rule and we shall see if he thinks he can out puff the President in power. I have to go out but I am hoping I will not miss most of the hearing. It should be good.

9. It is ALL intentional. All of it.
The plan, I firmly believe, is to take the U.S. down to the level of a 3rd world country and do to it what the World Bank has done to the countries it has "helped." And if you don't know what I mean, perhaps you a little research is in order.

Remember Carlyle -- it's a PRIVATE equity company, and I don't think it's even a corporation which would require it make periodic reports to the U.S. Govt. Carlyle isn't the only private company of its type, nor private company with questionable features. SAIC is one, owned by the employees, but the people at the top are heavily CIA-related.

You really have to think about it, at which point it doesn't pass the common sense test. The level of sheer incompetence that would be required to wreak as much havoc and destruction on this country as has been done to it would make the so-called "leaders" literal morons, imbeciles, with IQs certainly below 100 if not below 70. At the highest levels, this is all INTENTIONAL.

And yes, the police state features being developed and implemented are to deal with the turmoil they are literally trying to foment, and probably will at some point. If you study up on the World Bank, especially reading information from Joseph Stiglitz (Steiglitz? something different still?), you will see that the World Bank WANTS political turmoil -- it helps their bargaining position, which isn't a pretty one, or fair, or intended to truly help the developing country.

That's the plan for THIS country. Mark my words. And plan accordingly.

10. This is such an important article ! Kick & Rec
This is it IMO

This is exactly what they are up to.

Damn.

:kick::kick::kick:

This is why the MSM is so complicit & the Dem's
for the most part are ineffectual.

Wake up America!

The Corporate elite are about to fuck you like you've never be fucked before.

I'm sure there are many who think things will go back to "normal" when bush leaves office or the Dem's get back in power but we are way beyond that reality now.

I think this is the most important thing I've ever read at DU.

Thanks Pharaoh
