24. He has to start out with a like to base his position on. |
|
He claims these calls are all international. We know that's not true. The FBI has already said that the NSA gave them those numbers and then they started tapping DOMESTIC calls from those numbers. Hence, the "more calls to Pizza Hut" the FBI complained about having to check out.
If you have to start out with a lie, your argument doesn't hold water.
And that is even before we get to the constitutional issues.

Since his arguments are both concise and convincing I took the opportunity to thank him for his PATRIOTIC efforts.
Just suggest that we rally behind these brave Americans. Lord knows that they go through hell to do what is right for our blessed USA. :-)

40. Turner would have it that the president, by exec power, doesn't have to |
|
get a warrant. Also making the argument that the president already HAS these powers, not a matter of giving to him.
That conflicts with Cheney's view that the exec power has been eroded and it needs to be trumped back up again and re-asserted.

This bozo's bogus interpretation says Nixon had the power to spy on whoever he wanted to because it was wartime and he was not obligated to tell anybody anything about it. Talk about a prescription for abuse! I think this is why FISA was enacted.

First, it's the Too Much Time To Get a Warrant, but for what? For the ability to do a fishing expedition on everyone's email.
Suppose Al Qaida did send viagra spam (interesting that he chose viagra as the keyword, eh? ???) It would be coming FROM a particular IP address, perhaps spoofed, but this ass is saying that every single person who received this viagra spam would have their email read and checked.
