4. In Other Words,
it's starting to get freeped, but the response appears to be too overwhelming for it to work.

3. Framing
Why didn't they say "Do you care if the Bush Admin. gathers your phone records without a warrant?"

I seems to me the frame here gives some cover to *, Like that the phone company is the bad guy, or te the phone company AND a generic government are the bad guys.

5. Consistent...
Still 85% Yes, 15% No... at 246 votes. Curious how stable that percentage has been over the last 61 votes.

Yeah, it's framed--no offendi el Jorge Arbusto

14. Freepers- how do you rationalize your response to this poll?
All that talk about "limited government" and "getting government off your back"- it was all bullshit? You never really meant it?

15. I have to shake my head and wonder
that myself. I can't imagine anyone in their right minds would NOT mind their personal phone records being turned over to the government without a warrant. Or maybe they think it'll just be Dems, and not them? Boy, are they in for a nice, rude surprise and awakening.

22. They say they don't care because they don't believe it will happen
to them.

Let them find out that the government has been listening to their phone conversations, and they'll flip.

27. I'd be willing to bet the gov already has been. Heck I'll bet Cheney has
Bush (Jr & Sr), Rummy and Gonzo's line tapped... and they have each of the others as well. When you know you can't be trusted you trust no one else either or as my Grandmother told me once, "A thief will have the most locks on their house."

26. i know a woman who sells pot, i call her and chat. chat if she
has gotten her life together. what classes she is taking in college, and how she is doing. if she is being a parent to her daughter. this woman is far from perfect, but, ... i love her soul. i just do. i have known her 15 years. like her

she is sittin in prison for different things, booze in system breaking parole, tickets not paid, classes not gone to. and she is sittin in prison.

what if she is selling more than pot, or they are going after her for selling pot and they get my telephone number. do they then get to investigate me for loose association.

all is open here.
