4. "The Senate held hearings on this and found no evidence of wrongdoing".
That's what it's for. So they can say that.

6. clinton, they knew it was swear in. then tell world getting blow job or
lie. that is all it took and they knew. repug rule, no swearing in at anytime. oil people,......investigations. no swearing in. and even when sworn in and they break the law and refuse to answer. seems to be ok there too. really, people should get outraged. even repugs. go figure

8. Specter's premise that the admin is trustworthy. WTF?
Gonzo has already lied to congress under oath, so it's appropriate to show a jaded ear and swear him in.

9. Is it legal to lie to Congress even without an oath?
Is there some provision like there is about giving false or misleading information to law enforcement/officers of the court? Am hoping that is Specter's game plan- to lure them into risking lies by not swearing them and then zapping them for lying to Congress.

Or was Specter tellin us, with his up and down hand motion over his lap yesterday on Russert, that the whole thing is just so much procedural masturbation?

Oaths mean nothing to most in the halls of government. Truth is NOT Gonzales' master.
