Clinton bashing at the Superbowl |
|
In the opening segment, they were showing images of America over the last forty years and one clip they showed was of Clinton saying "I did not have sexual relations....."....even the Superbowl isn't safe from Clinton's cock.

We don't want the smoking gun to come in the form of a mushrom cloud."
I think it would have been the perfect touch, considering the witch was in the crowd.

2. There was definitely Carter-bashing... |
|
in that segment about guy who was taken hostage. The narrator talked about how the hostage-takers refused to give in to Carter's demands, then showed Reagan announcing their release. Naturally they didn't get into how the Reagan administration negotiated the delay of the release. That neocon Al Michaels probably produced.

4. Remember, this is CBS, who refused to air anti-Bush ads on the Super Bowl |
|
last year, and editted out the word cock from a Rolling Stones song!
Better question: WHY DID DR. GAP CONTRADICTA RICE GET A LONG CAMERA SHOT DURING AARON NEVILLE'S DESTRUCTION OF THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER?!?!??!

5. Neville destroyed the Star Spangled Banner? |

If true, that's very sad. :(
I love his voice. He sings "O Holy Night" like an angel.

8. Actually it was ABC who aired the game |
|
But I think the original poster is correct, I cannot inderstand why they would include the clip of Clinton in what was a omnatge juxtaposing the superbowl against the times. It had absolutely no relevence.
It certainly bears some investigation, I hope Media Matters or even Ken Oberman picks up on it.

Any choice segements? Such as the big 2004 campaign trail lie reassuring us that, as always, no wiretapping of U.S. citizens would ever take place without a proper court order? Didn't think so! To put a better face on this type of omission, I'm starting to get the impression that most Amercians now view Bush as an inherent liar -- someone who dispenses with the truth every time he opens his mouth. Clinton's lies on the other hand were infrequent, being "situational" and personal in nature, and not dealing with critical policy matters. So if there's general acceptance that Bush is a notorious liar who embraces disastrous policies, it's therefore "old news" which no longer requires further validation on the Super Bowl intro or anywhere else for that matter. On the other hand, Clinton's mistruths and indiscretions are perceived as incidental flaws in an otherwise successful 2-term presidency -- therefore they continue to stand out aginst that type of backdrop.

12. Where was Bush's 16 words? |
|
Bush oozing complements on Brownie?
Poppy vomiting on the Japanese Prime Minister?
Raygun exclaiming that he didn't sell weapons to the Death Squads?
