Democrats MUST get dirty. Really dirty
Each Senator must call Bush Facist. Non Stop on all availiable media outlets. Democrats should also say they have reason to believe wiretaps are used for political purposes. Obviously a lie but Democrats need to make outlandish statements with fake outrage in order to grab headlines and the attention of American citizens. After America pays attention most Conservatives senators will stop stonewalling for Bushcho

But I like it.

25. So the pukes are
the only party to play rough? Bullshit. They've got some brainwashed into thinking that. Then they turn around with the Swift Boats, Zell Miller and bandaids with purple hearts. Fuck them. Hit them hard. I posted a story about how Harold Ikes kicked their asses by playing tough. That's EXACTLY what we have to do or give up. Kick Melman out of the closet, see how the fundies like have a gay head for the RNC. Ambramoff, say it all the time, Plame, Libby, don't stop hammering them with their own dirt.

27. Hey, I said it liked the idea...
But I think most (all?) of them would view it as the quickest way to lose their seat.

28. Yup, need national "clean elections" public financing first!
There are too many DINOs that are beholden to corporations that won't allow this to happen unfortunately. We hopefully can put Dems back in power in 2006. The next step after that is to put in national public financing to allow anyone to run without having to resort to taking bribes, so that we can isolate the corruptors and corruptors as being a minority to vote out of office instead of having to accept institutionalized corruption for everyone that we have in place today.

2. Obviously a lie?
I'm not so sure. GOPers were recently convicted of jamming Democrat phone banks on election day. We know they were spying on Quakers and military recruitment protesters. What is that if not political? Did they really believe the Quakers were in league with Bin Laden?

13. We don't have to get dirty
Except to the extent that the truth is dirty.

Of course, the truth about this administration is pretty dirty, but we can't clean up the mess we aren't seeing . . .

So bring on the dirt, if that means bringing out the truth.

4. You're right...
The reason Democrats are always fighting to get their message out is because they keep trying to be really nice and politically correct. They need to take a page from the repuke playbook.
I wouldn't have advocated that a year ago...but I think we're in dire straits right now and we need drastic measures to get us out of this mess.

for political purposes? Aside from the obvious "political purpose" of convincing 'Murricans that only Georgie can save their scalps from the wicked Islamists, don't you think that just a few of those recorded conversations with politically active folks have been filed away "for further analysis?"

J. Edgar Hoover is chuckling in hell.

conservatives are doing. No one knows beyond resonable doubt so to me saying a democratic senator is getting spied on would be a lie.

9. If they won't discuss the scope of the program... the dems should do it
If they then want to prove to the American people that they aren't facist bastards, they'll have to disclose the full scope of their program(s). Enough is enough... I'm all for the dems slinging mud right along with the GOP.

11. I don't think it's dirty to play hardball using TRUTH
we need to stop being "careful" and "nuanced" and dainty about things. And we need to begin shouting the TRUTH from the rooftops.

If people call the TRUTH dirty...then so be it. But at least what we stand for will be clear and what they are rejecting will be clear.

And I very rationally hate george bush. The arrogance of the administration combined with the ignorance of their base is destroying our constitutional liberties. No thinking Americans outrage should be fake.

..... so as to swift boat people but we have to play nice. Screw that time to look the
devil in the eye and spit. These are not Ike, Goldwater, Hugh Scott, Margaret Chase
Smith, Nelson Rock, Bill Scraton, or Pete McClusky republicans but thugs who know
more money & power. 7 years and 7o million $s to investigate a blow job but less
then 1 year and 5 million $s to investigate 9 -11?

BTW I will bet you big money that Kerry was being spied on.

I know about as much about computers as I do Human-Animal hybrids. However, hacking through 5 or 6 firewalls sounds like something only the NSA could do.

.... we had first rate I.T. people ..... and when the hack was traced back it went to an island in the
Pacific ...... and then disappeared.

and you know what one of the systems that was hacked into ..... it I.D.ed every dem voter in the
state for the Get out the vote program .... i just realized that. So the repugs already knew what
votes needed to be flipped so as to "win" Ohio.

We are really dealing w/ the devil in bush & company .

play nice w/ these people .... right.

19. Allowing the Repugs to walk all over us hasn't helped much
So what do we have to lose?

I think all Dems should be screaming bloody murder at this point, and pull out all the stops.

They need to hold joint press conferences, daily if necessary, just like little Scottie McClellan, the "Minister of Disinformation," does. And they need to lay it out on the line.

Even the Repugs and the MSM are asking where the Democratic responses are...so WHERE ARE THEY?

It's the only way we're going to get any attention, throw a fit and come out fighting! It's past time!! Let's get the show on the road!!!

When they cover for the obvious, its chickenshit. Whether or not shrub is a real fascist , thats debatable so maybe thats not the road to go down. Now it is a fact that hes a liar so they shouldnt be afraid to use that word when talking about him. Hes been caught lying repeatedly.
